Individual lesson plans & flexible schedule✅

Every student has a different reason for learning Swedish. That is why we always offer our students a custom-made lesson plan. This way you will get the most out of your time in class. We teach over Skype or Zoom, and you will always meet with a professional, experienced, and native-speaking teacher.

We offer our students to choose between 30 minutes, 45 minutes,60 and 90 minutes long sessions. Since the lessons are one-to-one, you can also decide when and how often to meet up for a class.
Trial lesson/consultation
The Swedish Teacher offer all new students a free trial lesson/consultation. It takes about 30 minutes, and during this session, you will discuss with your teacher how we best can assist you in reaching your goals.
If you wish to continue after the trial, you can choose between 30, 45, 60, and 90 minutes lessons. All our lessons are one-on-one.

Schedule and pay for your lessons one at a time, or purchase a package of 10 lessons and receive a discount.
Swedish group class with maximum 5 students
We wanted to start small group courses where we can meet each student’s individual needs and goals but still add the dynamics of learning in a group. So we created what we think is a lagom intense course with a lagom number of students. In the Summer of 2021, we will start Swedish beginner group courses with lessons once a week, or twice a week.

Once a week

1 x 90 minutes lesson every week for a total of 20 weeks. The course covers chapters 1-5 in the textbook Rivstart A1+A2.

Twice a week

2 x 90 minutes every week for a total of 10 weeks. The course covers chapters 1-5 in the Rivstart A1+A2 textbook.

Target level & Course objectives
The target level for our beginner course is Level A1, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

After completing the course you should master the basics of the Swedish language so that you can make yourself
understood and understand others in everyday situations, for example when greeting
someone, ordering something, and providing or asking for simple information.

Content & course material
During the course, you will learn, among other things, to greet, introduce yourself, talk about yourself (family, leisure, studies, work, etc.) and make purchases. We practice very natural pronunciation. You get to read simple dialogues and shorter texts and practice understanding spoken Swedish. You learn the grammatical basics, such as word order, tenses, noun and adjective inflections, pronouns, and prepositions.

Rivstart A1 + A2 Textbok and övningsbok (2a upplagan/ 2nd Edition) kapitel 1-5 (P Levy Scherrer, K Lindemalm, Natur och Kultur 2014).The textbooks are not included in the course fee.

Course duration
Once a week (1 x 90 minutes)
