Individual lesson plans & flexible schedule
Every student has a different reason for learning Swedish. That is why we always offer our students a custom made lesson plan. This way you will get the most out of your time in class. We teach over Skype, and you will always meet with a professional, experienced and native speaking teacher.
We offer our students to choose between 30 minutes, 45 minutes and 60 minutes long sessions. Since the lessons are one-to-one, you can also decide when and how often to meet up for a class.

Swedish beginner level - Level A1-A2 CEFR
You will learn:
- Basic phrases for situations in everyday life
- Basic grammar such as word order, forms of the noun, tenses of the verb, adjective forms, pronouns, etc.
- Vowel sounds, consonant sounds, and language melody
- Writing simple texts
How to book a trial lesson:
- Go to our online schedule.
- Choose your time zone.
- Choose a teacher, a date and a time. We are five teachers in three different time zones. You can find more information about our teachers here.
- Choose “consultation/trial lesson,” and time for your lesson.
- As soon as your teacher receive your booking, he or she will contact you.

Swedish intermediate level - Level B1-B2 CEFR
Our lessons on intermediate level suits students who already know a little bit of Swedish through previous lessons or by picking it up on your own.
We will help you expand your vocabulary and feel more confident speaking Swedish. Whether you need reading, writing, listening, grammar or pronunciation – your teacher will design the perfect lessons for you!
For intermediate students, we design a lesson plan based on textbooks used at several of the largest adult education centers in Sweden. This way you can easily transfer to their courses. We can also assist you in preparing for a Swedish test such as SWEDEX or sfi-provet.
Textbooks we use on Intermediate level:
Swedish advanced level - Level C1-C2 CEFR
Our lessons on advanced level suits students who want to speak Swedish fluently in most situations in their life.
We will help you expand your vocabulary and feel more confident speaking Swedish. On advanced level we also pay a lot of attention to the student’s writing skills – we can help you with everything from short emails to job application letters. We can of course also help you prepare for a language test such as TISUS or SAS B.
We can help you:

- Improve your pronunciation
- Build confidence speaking Swedish
- Expand your Swedish vocabulary
Textbooks we use on Advanced level:
Swedish group class with 4 students
We wanted to start small group courses where we can meet each student’s individual needs and goals but still add the dynamics of learning in a group. So we created what we think is a lagom intense course with a lagom number of students.
In our small group classes you will have lessons 3 times a week for 90 minutes, during 5 weeks. Your textbooks will be Rivstart A1+A2 (textbok and övningsbok) for level A1+A2 and Rivstart B1+B2. For level A1+A2, you will cover 5 chapters in the textbook during 5 weeks. For level B1+B2 you will cover 3 chapters during 5 weeks. New groups are staring regularly!

Swedish Conversation lessons - From level A2 CEFR
Conversation lessons are perfect for you who have taken self study courses but haven’t had a lot of opportunities to actually speak the language.
The lessons will be in a relaxed and fun atmosphere, and you never have to feel embarrassed when speaking Swedish!
While you are speaking the teacher will send you written corrections and suggested vocabulary when needed. This immediate feedback corrects and develops your speech process while your thoughts are still fresh in your mind. To prepare for your lesson, you will, for example, read a book, a newspaper article or listen to a radio show.
You will improve:
- Vocabulary of your interest
- Confidence in speaking Swedish
- Pronunciation
- Grammar
- Listening comprehension
Swedish at Work - From level B1 CEFR
We can help you with:
- Building a specialized vocabulary
- Speaking to clients, customers or patients
- Improving your professional writing
- Polishing your presentation skills
- Learning about Swedish office culture
- Perfecting pronunciation and grammar
Pronunciation lessons - From level A2 CEFR
With a correct technique and a lot of practice, you can make major improvements to your pronunciation. Improving your pronunciation will result in better listening comprehension as you become more aware of the subtleties of the Swedish language.
Our classes begin, with a personal analysis of your pronunciation skills. Then we create a specialized training program that teaches you the techniques how to produce difficult sounds. To improve your Swedish melody, we also work on stress in single words and sentences.
We have trained people with Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, English, Greek, Polish, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese as their first language to sound more like a native Swedish speaker.
You will improve:
- Vowel sounds

- Stress in single words
- Language melody
- Tone accent

Folkuniversitetet’s C1-test (Level C1 CEFR)
SFI test
The SFI test is a national test that supports teachers when they put the rating on the participants in the Swedish for immigrants, SFI. Testing and teaching are conducted throughout the year.
The tests are designed and developed at Stockholm University in cooperation with Skolverket. Students who take the test as part of a course do the test for free.
The SFI test is on three levels: B, C, and D. The courses can be related to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages; learning, teaching, and assessment. Course A corresponds to level A1/A1, course B corresponds to level A1/A2 course C corresponds to level A2/A2 + and course D corresponds to B1/B1+.
Tisus
“Tisus” (Test in Swedish for University Studies) Tisus is recognized by all the universities in Sweden as a statement of eligibility regarding Swedish language proficiency. The examination is designed according to needs expressed by students and university teachers. There are three test components:
- Reading
- Writing
- Speaking
